Naples and Pompeii in One Day

Naples, one of the most fascinating, traditional, and oldest cities in Italy

Visit Naples, one of the most fascinating, traditional, and oldest cities in Italy, and the World Heritage Archaeological Site of Pompeii, a famous Roman town buried by the volcanic ash of Mt. Vesuvius more than 1500 years ago.We will start our tour at 8:00 am, and we will drive through Campania, one of the greenest regions in Italy. You will have a brilliant view of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Mount Vesuvius, one of the biggest European volcanoes.

Once we arrive in Naples, we will take a sightseeing tour of the city and its most famous destinations: The Royal Palace, Plebiscito Square, the “Maschio Angioino,” San Carlo Theatre, Gallery Umberto I and the neighborhood of Mergellina. From here you will be able to take beautiful pictures, and you can admire the gorgeous view of the Island of Capri, Ischia and Procida.

Naples is the city where Italian coffee was born, so we can’t leave the city without a tasty espresso and the popular Limoncello Liquor. We must also enjoy a traditional Neapolitan pizza.

We continue our journey to Pompeii. This famous Roman town was destroyed and buried under 20 ft of volcanic ash for more than 1500 years. It was, by chance, rediscovered at the beginning of the 1700s by a Spanish engineer. Pompeii is a great example of how cities were organized before and during Roman times. With over two million visitors each year, it is one of the most visited World Heritage Sites in the world. The local guide will show you the most important highlights and give you some tips for some beautiful pictures. South of Italy, I love you!
